About The Pastor

Reverend William Lamont Adams Sr., born December 26,1972 to the parents Rev. Raymond and Mary Adams, the last of four children. Pastor Wil, a native of Kansas City, Missouri accepted Christ at a young age under the leadership of his beloved father the late Rev. Raymond E. Adams, Pastor of the St. Paul Church. Pastor Adams acknowledged his call from God to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in October 1999. He was licensed as a preacher of the Gospel on November 5, 2000, under the leadership of the late Dr. E.A. Johnson, Pastor Emeritus of Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Adams studied under Dr. Johnson for several years and was ordained as a preacher of the Gospel on October 19, 2003. On December 6, 2005, Pastor William L. Adams Sr. was called to be the Pastor/Teacher of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Pastor Adams has a heart for God’s people; his mission statement for St. John is “Building a Contagious Church by Building the People of God” Acts 2:41-47. He is committed to furthering the Kingdom of God. He is very active in the community where he serves. Currently he serves as the first Vice- Moderator for the Sunshine District. He has severed as the Assisted Dean of the Sunshine District and the Social Justice Representative for the state of Kansas for the Kansas, Missouri, state convention where Rev. Elijah Clark Jr, serves as the President. Pastor Adams, serves as the Vice-Chairperson of Registration for The National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc. under the leadership of President Samuel C. Tolbert Jr. Pastor Adams Christian studies for education includes Calvary Theological seminary, Carver Bible College, and Central Baptist Theological Seminary for his Doctrine in Christian Education. Pastor Wil has three children, William L. Adams Jr., Whitney B. Adams, and Jordan E. Adams. Pastor William Adams, Sr. a loving father, and Granddaddy. A faithful follower of Christ and a lover of God and mankind. The world has yet to see what God can do through a man that is totally yielding to God.
